I haven't heard of it either. My first impression was that maybe it's software that reads text and converts to audio, or is it a phone answering application? I guess I could do a Google search for it...

We use it. It's great.

You choose a local telephone number, and that becomes your Google number. When people call it, it calls all your phones that you connected to that number (in my case it calls the home phone, office phone and mobile, I never miss a call!). It also records voice mail messages and sends them to your voice mail (on your phone!) and emails you an mp3 and transcript of the voice mail message.

I greatly recommend this service.
