I saw a website listed as us.fordownersclub.com the other day.

Unfortunately rather than seeing "us ford owners club" I perceived it as "us for downers club." :blush:

We've all probably heard the acronym that was coined by Ford haters - Fix Or Repair Daily.

I find it interesting and kind of amusing how some people are faithful to Ford or Chev almost as is it were a religious or political affiliation.

it is kinda tribal though isn't it Taggart? In the UK as well as in the US...

for instance, Ford Mondeo screams 'accountant', VW Beetle or Mini Cooper... 'hippy girlie' Range Rover 'Home Counties landed gentry' VW Polo 'boy racer' etc..




and lets not mention middle aged men with red ferraris.. :laugh:

I can see those groupings, and I'm also surprised how many cars look alike now.

A friend has a BMW and at a glance, I'd say it looks very similar to a Saturn. I wouldn't mention that to him... :blush:
